Types of Assessments
- M-STEP (Michigan Student Test of Educational Progress): An annual test of 3rd - 11th grade students to measure proficiency across the state.
- MME (Michigan Merit Exam): An annual test of 11th grade students to measure proficiency across the state.
- PSAT (Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test): A national test of 9th and 10th grade students to prepare for the SAT in 11th grade.
- SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test): A national test of 11th grade students used to apply for colleges and universities.
- NWEA (Northwest Evaluation Assessment): A national test series to measure progress in Kindergarten through 8th grade students. NWEA measures a student’s achievement and academic growth, independent of grade, across time.
- AP (Advanced Placement) Exams: A test of high school students enrolled in advanced placement courses to determine if college credit may be earned.
